PALM BEACH, Fla. – Republican Meg Weinberger defeated Democrat Rachelle Litt for the State House District 94 seat, according to unofficial election results. The seat includes part of Palm Beach and was formerly held by Rep. Rick Roth, R-West Palm Beach, who was term-limited.

Weinberger was endorsed by former President Donald Trump, who called her “MAGA Meg” on social media.

“‘MAGA’ Meg will fight tirelessly to Grow our Economy, Stop Inflation, Secure our Border, End Migrant Crime, Support our Great Military/Vets, Protect our always under siege Second Amendment, and Restore American Energy DOMINANCE,” Trump said.

In the primary election last April, Weinberger’s opponent, Anthony Aguirre, received an endorsement from Gov. Ron DeSantis in the lead up to the election. Weinberger is the executive director of Rescue Life, an animal sanctuary that provides second chances for abused animals. She is also the chapter chair of Moms for Liberty in Palm Beach County.

Among her stances, Weinberger vowed being pro-life by protecting the “sanctity of human life and the right of the unborn” during a previous interview with Florida’s Voice.
