Weinberger (R-District 94) received an award for her leadership on legislation related to incinerator siting. In the final week of session, she stood firm in rejecting late-filed amendments that had not been heard in committee and would have negatively impacted the solid waste and recycling industry.

Known in Florida political circles as “MAGA Meg,” Rep. Weinbeger was influential in a bill, HB 987, in February 2025, to rename a four-mile stretch of Southern Boulevard between Kirk Road and South Ocean Boulevard in Palm Beach County to President Donald J. Trump Boulevard.
